Local Family Owned: Since 2001 when our business was founded in a Shorewood storefront, Louvers Lane has been a family oriented operation. Our goal (whether in your home, corporate suite or over the counter in our shop) is to provide you with personalized professional services tailored to your needs and budget. Since 2003 we've operated out of a larger shop on Joliet's west side with expand cleaning capabilities. While we have clients all over the Chicago region and NW Indiana and do large residential and commercial jobs, our focus has been on delivering consistent quality service for all types and sizes of projects, not just cranking out production. Referrals from our clients keep us active.

Expert Blind and Drapery Cleaning: We've invested in the training and education of our team of profession blind and drapery cleaners. Our knowledge of the various window treatments, cleaning procedures and use of equipment and cleaning chemistry is better than "average". Jeanne P. - Jeanne prefers the "hands on" cleaning part of the business. Her years of hands on experience are complimented by formal training as a Certified Fabricare Specialist and IICRC Certified Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician. While Jeanne can't work miracles, that doesn't keep her from trying!

Bert - Besides involvement in operations of the business locally, Bert is the administrator of a national network of professional cleaners. So, if your needs or location aren't in our area of service, we may know someone else that can help you - even if you live in British Columbia, New Zealand or somewhere else in the Chicago region! Professional credentials include being a Hunter Douglas Certified Professional Installer, Certified Fabricare Specialist, IICRC Certified for Upholstery/Fabric and Carpet Cleaning Technician as well as the author of various articles, consumer and professional websites.

Call us during the week and you may also talk to Miriam, Bert's wife or Tammy (who also works for the Blindcleaners.biz Network). Miriam keeps up with our clients and Tammy can also help you with referrals to blind and drapery cleaners for friends or businesses that are outside of our service area - all over the US or Canada. Other experienced part time employees help round out larger crews when we need to quickly turn around larger jobs.

Our shop is uniquely equipped to professionally clean virtually any type of window treatment (including board mounted valances). Repairs (including restringing) of many custom blinds are done at our shop or in your home.
